NOTE: You can convert any existing SCSI tape drive or library to iSCSI by using our low cost, high performance iSCSI Bridge, or SAS units to iSCSI with or iSCSI to SAS bridge.

Avax iSCSI Tape is a network tape drive that uses inexpensive Gigabit Ethernet to connect to the host(s). Ethernet simplifies host connection and allows sharing of the tape drive over the LAN. Configured with one drive and R45 1000BaseT port, we offer iSCSI AIT, iSCSI LTO, and iSCSI (S)DLT models.

Avax iSCSI Tape offers exceptional value and performance in workgroup, Web, e-commerce, pre-press and desktop publishing, video and GIS environments.

Avax iSCSI Tape is qualified for interoperability with the Windows platform and supports major backup and archive applications. The Avax iSCSI Tape is also qualified for interoperability with NAS devices and offers a simple way of adding tape backup to a VMware environment.
